What Inspires Me

From a young age, I’ve been captivated by the emotional impact of color and how our surroundings can shape our mood, thoughts, and experiences. It's not just the colors themselves, but the entire setting that influences our perception of the world. This fascination draws me to nature and its elements, earth, water, etc for its calmness and diverse color palettes, as well as the ways in which the beauty of nature is translated into architecture, interior design, and other forms of art. These elements inspire my work, allowing me to create pieces that evoke the same sense of peace and reflection I find in these environments. Each piece reflects my appreciation for the small, often overlooked moments that make life extraordinary. By incorporating these sentiments into my art, I strive to create pieces that resonate deeply with viewers, offering them a unique visual experience that evokes a sense of peace and inspiration.

Creating in the moment

Painting, for me, is about finding joy in the moment of expression. It's not just about the finished piece, but also the journey—the way a blank canvas gradually comes to life as I work on it. Each layer is an opportunity to lose myself in the process, a form of meditation that offers an escape from the hectic world around us. Ultimately the finished piece itself translates the experience of the calmness of nature, but is also found in the creative moment itself.

How I Create My Paintings

To bring my experiences and emotions to the canvas, I use a variety of materials such as acrylic paints, high-flow media, heavy structure gels, pumice, sand, and varnish. These materials are essential in helping me recreate the textures and atmospheres that I encounter in the world around me.
Each layer of color is carefully applied to create a visual and tactile experience that goes beyond just being seen. I use color and gold to reflect the vibrancy and energy of the moments that inspire me, whether from nature, daily life, or personal experiences. The combination of these materials allows me to craft paintings that evoke a sense of calmness, warmth, depth, and emotion. My goal is to create art that connects with viewers, offering them not only something to look at but something to feel.
